Five candidates for the European Commission presidency gathered in the European Parliament, in Brussels, to debate issues that affect everyone in the European Union, from jobs and migration to climate, innovation and security.
The Eurovision debate was organised by the European Broadcasting Union EBU and moderated by Martin eznek Czech TV and Annelies Beck VRT, Belgium.
The following candidates took part:
Walter Baier Austria, European Left
Sandro Gozi Italy, Renew Europe Now
Ursula von der Leyen Germany, European Peoples Party
Terry Reintke Germany, European Greens
Nicolas Schmit Luxembourg, Party of European Socialists
